I first met Riley when visiting AZ In July 2018. He met with me on short notice and spent the time necessary to get a good understanding of what our plan was for a second home (townhome) in Mesa, AZ. My wife was would be coming to AZ in Sept so Riley set us up to start receiving listings that fit the price and type of homes we were looking for. When my wife arrived Riley had homes lined up for her to visit. During this time she was not able to find what we wanted but came away with a better understanding of what the market was like. We planned on coming back in January 2019. Between Sept and Jan, Riley continued to send us listing to review before our Jan visit. Once again Riley was ready for our return and had about 30 town homes ready for us to look at. After 2 days of looking, he provided some additional homes, and also suggested we identify our top 5. On the 3rd day of viewing homes he had us ready to see new homes as well as revisit our top 5. This was a great strategy, we could have looked at homes for days, but this made us realize that among our top 5 was the house we really wanted. Riley guided us through the offer and acceptance stage and negotiated a plan that got us our town home. It has been 30+ years since we bought a home, and the process in somewhat over whelming. Riley was there for every step. He set up the home inspection, provided us Lenders for our loan, help to negotiate purchasing items currently in the home and getting some repairs done as a condition to the sale.
A lot of the steps that we did 30 years ago required meetings to sign off on a lot of forms, these are now done electronically and once again Riley helped us with understanding the 'how to's of this process. We return to AZ in February 2019 for the final walk through and closing. Riley was there again to make sure everything would go smoothly, make sure any items from the walk through were taken care of and that the town home was still in acceptable condition from the buyer. At closing, after signing all the forms with the title company, he brought us the keys to our town home.
